Carats

The weight of a diamond is denoted by its carat, regardless of its size. One carat (ct) is equivalent to 0.20 grams.

Caratage is the most determining factor when estimating the price of a diamond.

Carats

The weight of a diamond is denoted by its carat, regardless of its size. One carat (ct) is equivalent to 0.20 grams.

Caratage is the most determining factor when estimating the price of a diamond.

Carat weight can vary depending on different diamond shapes, such as round brilliant, princess, pear, oval, cushion, marquise, emerald, radiant or heart. A diamond can have a higher carat weight without appearing larger, and similarly, two diamonds of the same carat weight can have different sizes if one has been cut deeper than the other. In other words, it is important to note that carat weight does not necessarily denote size.

CERTIFICATES

All Suarez diamonds from 0.20 carats are accompanied by a certificate granted by three of the most prestigious institutions in the world, which includes their characteristics and quality:

GIA (Gemeological Institute of America)

Institution established in 1931 and the world's leading authority on diamonds, colored stones and pearls. It is responsible for certifying Suarez diamonds from 0.30 carats.

IGI (International Gemological Institute)

It certifies 0.20 and 0.25 carat diamonds and creates a custom certificate design for Suarez, thanks to the close relationship built over the years.

HRD (Hoge Raad voor Diamant)

Gemological institute of international prestige located in Antwerp. They customize the certificates requested by Suarez for jewelry generally measuring 0.20 t 0.25 carats, and occasionally other sizes.
