From concept to jewel, all about Arce

Lola Pascual, a member of the Suárez family and creator of the ARCE collection, tells us all the details about this launch, presented through a special appearance at the Serrano 42 flagship boutique with the family's closest circle.

On June 5th, our boutique at Serrano 42 became the perfect setting for the official presentation of ARCE. An intimate celebration attended by a few members of the family's closest circle to enjoy the new collection designed by Lola Pascual in detail.

For this special occasion, the space was transformed by a temporary exhibition dedicated to the aesthetic and emotional universe that shapes the jewelry in the collection.

Amidst natural maple leaves, original sketches, and photographs of Lola Pascual's own garden, attendees had the opportunity to discover firsthand and up-close the creative process of this project, which extols the organic and inherent beauty of nature through the most exclusive jewelry creations.

We were able to speak with Lola Pascual to learn in detail about what it was like to bring this exceptional project to life.

The ARCE collection was born from a deeply personal place: your own garden. What does this tree mean to you, and what memories come to mind when you look at it?

I planted maple trees 27 years ago in our garden. They're part of my life, almost part of my family. They inspire peace, and their beauty in every season fascinates me. I've always been passionate about creating with nature, and this collection is born from that bond.

The collection is inspired by the lushness of the maple tree at its peak, not by autumn, which is typically a more classic and iconic time of year. What was I trying to express by choosing this moment of plenitude as the starting point for inspiration?

I wanted to capture that vibrant green of spring, full of life and freshness. The maple tree at that moment transmits joy and energy, a silent beauty that moves me.

What was the main reason for creating this collection? What was the entire creative process like?

My husband suggested it to me, along with the Suarez design team. It was a beautiful process: from the first wax sketches, the corrections, the details, the 3D technology, to the final pieces... Creating something like this is exciting, especially when it comes from something so personal.

Maple leaves are a clear symbol of transformation, of the ephemeral and the eternal at the same time. Is there any parallel between this duality and your vision of beauty?

Absolutely. Beauty is in what changes, but leaves a mark. Leaves fall, but they come back. That's how I see jewelry too: it transforms a moment that seemed fleeting into something eternal.

Which piece from the collection is most close to your heart? Does any one represent a special moment or a specific emotion from your life?

The long earrings and bracelet I wore to my son Juan's wedding. They were the first to be finished, and I was thrilled to wear them for the first time that day. They're linked to a very special memory.

ARCE also seems to speak to us about the passage of time, about what endures. What legacy would you like this collection to convey within Suarez's history as a jewelry house?

I would like it to remain as an example of how family tradition can inspire something very personal. ARCE unites emotion, design, and nature with Suarez's expertise. It's a collection born from the heart.

For you, who have lived the family tradition from the inside, what does it mean to see a part of your intimate world transformed into a jewel that will now be worn by someone else, in another place, and even in another time?

It's very beautiful. I've always thought that the most beautiful thing about owning jewelry is that it will later become part of the lives of my nieces and granddaughters. It also makes me happy when intimate items become something shared, as is the case with ARCE, and even happier when they are worn by an elegant and simple woman.

And finally, what was that intimate official presentation of the collection like at the Serrano 42 boutique with your closest circle?

It was a very special moment. Seeing the finished collection in such an iconic space, surrounded by family, friends, and the team that made it possible, was exciting. Everything was lovingly curated, and I felt like ARCE had its natural place there. It was like watching something bloom that started out as just an idea in my garden.
